The Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics was awarded to Super-K and T2K for neutrino oscillations. Awardees include current and former group members Tarek Akiri, Josh Albert, Maxim Fechner, Alex Himmel, Naho Tanimoto, Kate Scholberg, Chris Walter, Roger Wendell and Taritree Wongjirad. A total of twelve Triangle area scientists are among the awardees.
